+ What experience/qualifications do you need to work for Ark Home Healthcare?
For many of our care roles you do not need any specific qualifications or experience to apply. We provide a comprehensive induction programme and offer various training and development schemes to give you all the skills and training you need. What we do look for are people who are hardworking, enthusiastic, dedicated and most importantly, kind and caring.

+ What would a typical day working as an Ark Care Worker be like?

Care Work is a very unique career. It requires someone with passion, dedication, kindness and empathy. You get to meet new people all the time and have the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life. No one day is ever the same at Ark, there is lots of variation. You could be supporting an individual to help with their daily duties such as getting washed and dressed to assisting them with physical disabilities and rehabilitation. Each day you would deliver the required care to your allocated customers, ensuring you work to Ark’s guidelines, training and policies to ensure our customers remain safe and well at all times.

You may be the only person that the people you are caring for see each day so it is important you do everything you can to not just support them with their care needs, but to provide companionship when people may need it most. Your branch team is a constant source of support to help you in your daily role. They will rota your shifts and plan your workload with your input. Although you may work independently a lot of the time, you are never on your own.
